About Wiener Secession (Klimt)关于 Wiener Secession (Klimt)
The Vienna Secession fused Byzantine gold-leaf opulence with fin-de-siècle modernism. Founded in 1897 by Klimt and nineteen dissident artists, the movement declared "To every age its art, to art its freedom" — then proved it with jewel-saturated paintings wrapped in actual gold leaf.
This system captures that gilded maximalism: deep teal and cobalt grounds, warm metallic gold ornament, spiral-and-vesica patterning, and period-correct serif typography set with generous contrast.
