Corten Weathering Steel

Corten Weathering Steel takes its surface from a steel wall left to oxidise — a matte orange-brown rust patina that stabilises into a protective skin rather than corroding away. Paired with raw board-formed concrete, it is the contemporary architectural register of Richard Serra's steel sculpture and Peter Zumthor's tactile buildings.

This is a heavy, restrained system: large flat planes, weighty rectangular masses, hairline rules and generous margins. No gloss, no chrome, no ornament — only the honest weight and texture of the material itself, recorded in rust and concrete grey.
