Timurid Manuscript (Herat)

The Herat school of Timurid illumination represents the high-water mark of Persian book arts. Under the patronage of Shah Rukh, Baysunghur, and Sultan Husayn Bayqara, the royal kitabkhana (atelier) — led by the master painter Kamal ud-Din Bihzad — produced manuscripts of staggering refinement: jewel-like miniatures set within dense floral-arabesque borders, gold rulings, and illuminated headpieces over a dominant ground of lapis blue.

This design system distills that courtly tradition into digital form. Ultramarine lapis grounds carry gold-leaf ornament; crimson, turquoise, and emerald punctuate like mineral pigments; and nasta'liq calligraphy honors the right-to-left poetry that every Herat folio was made to hold.

帖木儿王朝赫拉特画派代表了波斯书籍艺术的巅峰。在沙哈鲁、拜松忽儿与素丹·侯赛因·拜哈拉的赞助下，由大师卡迈勒丁·毕赫扎德主持的皇家画坊（kitabkhana）创作出极尽精美的手抄本：宝石般的细密画镶嵌于繁密的花卉藤蔓边框之中，配以金线分栏（jadval）与对称的彩饰卷头（sarlawh），全部铺陈在以青金石蓝为主调的底色之上。

本设计系统将这一宫廷传统转化为数字语言。群青青金石作底，金箔纹样浮于其上；绯红、绿松石与翡翠绿如矿物颜料般点缀；纳斯塔利克书法则致敬着每一页赫拉特抄本所承载的右起诗文。
