Armenian Erkatʿagir

ProMax

Armenian Erkatʿagir takes its name from the "iron-letter" majuscule of the oldest Christian-Armenian books — hard-edged, angular forms carved against the deep lapis-blue grounds of Cilician Gospel illumination. In the Toros Roslin tradition, ornamental drop initials and birds perch on saturated ultramarine fields, with gold leaf framing every sacred page. This is a maximal, devotional system where blue is the unmistakable signature hue and vellum shows only as a small, precious accent.
