Shoegaze MBV (1991)

ProMax

My Bloody Valentine's *Loveless* didn't just redefine guitar music — it redefined what an album cover could feel like. Kevin Shields and photographer Angus Cameron buried a tremolo-arm guitar in hot-pink motion blur until the image became pure sensation: no readable text, no focal point, just color dissolving into noise.

This design system translates that sleeve language into interface: washed-out photographic tones on off-tan cardstock, text that whispers rather than shouts, soft pink washes where sharp shadows would normally fall, and the pervasive feeling that every element is being viewed through frosted glass at dusk.
