About nendo

nendo is the Tokyo studio Oki Sato founded in 2002, and its whole visual language comes from one habit: every object is photographed alone on a seamless white sweep, with no horizon and almost no shadow.

This system carries that habit onto the screen. A pure white page, body copy in soft grey rather than black, pale grey fields, hairline rules, and one muted slate accent used once. Type stays small. The object, and the empty space around it, does the talking.
