About Vitsœ 606 Shelving
The Vitsœ 606 Universal Shelving System, designed by Dieter Rams in 1960 and made continuously ever since, is the archetype of functional modernism. Anodised-aluminium E-tracks bolt to a plain plaster wall and carry pins, shelves and cabinets in a strict modular rhythm.
Nothing is decorative. Everything floats, everything snaps to a fixed interval, and every surface earns its place by doing a job. The result is a design language of quiet grey-whites, brushed silver structure and abundant empty space — form entirely in service of function.
