Bagan Yun Lacquerware

Bagan yun lacquerware is built on a coiled bamboo core and layered with black-red lacquer, then engraved with the yun incising technique. Each groove is rubbed full of mineral pigment — cinnabar red, orpiment yellow, indigo-and-orpiment green — layer by layer, then polished to a deep glassy sheen.

The result is intricate figural and scrollwork imagery glowing out of a near-black lacquer ground. The hairline incised contour, not flat fill, is the structural identity: every form is drawn as line, banded in concentric borders, and lit from within the gloss.

蒲甘漆器以盘绕的竹胎为骨，层层髹涂黑红大漆，再用「云纹」刻线技法雕刻。每一道刻槽被逐层填入矿物颜料——朱砂红、雌黄黄、靛蓝调雌黄而成的青绿——再反复推光，直至呈现深邃如镜的莹亮光泽。

成品是繁复的人物与卷草纹样，自近乎漆黑的漆地中浮现发光。其灵魂在于纤细的刻线轮廓，而非平涂色块：每个形象皆以线条勾勒，环以同心带状边框，于漆面光泽之内自体发光。这是蒲甘工匠家族世代相传、专注沉静的手工传统。
