Mexican Volcanic Stone

ProMax

Mexican Volcanic Stone draws from "piedra volcánica" — the porous olivine-basalt the Mexica carved into the Sun Stone and the Stone of Tizoc, and the colonial recinto that built Mexico City. It is genuinely dark stone: pitted charcoal-to-gunmetal gray, deficit-side neutral, never warm cream.

The system translates carved monolithic relief into the screen — raking-light highlights along glyph edges, deep recessed voids, concentric disc layouts, and monumental carved-serif lettering on a heavy basalt ground.
