About Haeckel Kunstformen

Kunstformen der Natur is where the microscope met Art Nouveau. Across 100 lithographic plates published 1899–1904, Ernst Haeckel and lithographer Adolf Giltsch staged radiolaria, medusae and other organisms as luminous, perfectly symmetrical specimens glowing against a near-black ground.

This system inherits that logic: deep teal-black fields, translucent turquoise forms lit from within, pink-magenta and warm orange accents, and classical Roman lettering. Layouts are rigorously radial and bilateral — mandala-like, centered, mirrored — never flat, never asymmetric.
