Aalto Finnish Modern is the humane modernism of Alvar and Aino Aalto and their company Artek, founded 1935. It is built on bent natural birch plywood, organic free-form curves, and a conviction that color is a medical instrument — a way to bring Nordic sunshine indoors.
The canonical scheme comes from the Paimio Sanatorium: pale blond birch grounds set against canary "Paimio yellow," forest green walls, and a turquoise stair railing. Warm, calm, and functional, it rejects cold steel minimalism for wood, daylight, and gentle waves.
