About minä perhonen

minä perhonen is Akira Minagawa's Tokyo textile and clothing house. Its best-known motif, tambourine, is a ring of 25 embroidered dots that has moved from cloth onto tiles, cups, notebook covers and sofas.

This system takes the house's own surfaces as its rules: white pages, dark grey type, hairline rules and plenty of air. The embroidery carries the colour, and a single lemon button means "submit".
