About Burle Marx Landscape
Roberto Burle Marx drew gardens in plan, in gouache, on white paper: native tropical planting used as structure, symmetry broken on purpose, water left free-form, and every species laid down as one flat opaque colour block.
This system treats the screen as that plan sheet. The page is pale limestone. Colour arrives in solid areas with cut-curve edges, never shaded, never mirrored. The Copacabana wave runs through it as a dark hand-set basalt band — the one heavy mark on an otherwise light ground.
