Venetian Marmorino is a polished lime-and-crushed-marble wall plaster, traditionally kept white to imitate the Istrian stone of pre-1900 Venice. Its signature is the burnished trowel finish — cloud-like chiaroscuro layering where compaction draws cool-gray depth and a soft micro-sheen from the packed marble.
This system takes the matte shadow-side of that wall as its ground: a cool neutral gray, never warm cream. Broad calm planes carry soft trowel-stroke gradations and hairline stone dividers, set against high-contrast Bodoni display and elegant Garamond text — the restraint of a material that earns its luxury through surface, not ornament.
