Born in the conventillos of Montevideo's Barrio Sur and Buenos Aires's La Boca, tango rioplatense fused Afro-Uruguayan candombe drums with bandoneón melancholy. This design system captures the Guardia Vieja era's dim-lit cabaret world — smoke-stained silver, oxblood velvet, and gas-lamp ember.
The aesthetic draws from hand-painted enamel signage, fileteado scroll-flourishes, and the intimate darkness of a Café Sorocabana booth at 2am. Every surface breathes the texture of worn velvet and oxidized silver.
