Loy Krathong (River Lights)

ProMax

Loy Krathong is the pre-1900 Thai festival of lights, where banana-leaf krathongs cradling a single lit candle and incense are floated onto rivers and canals after dark. The authentic scene is a near-black night river surface scattered with drifting points of warm gold flame and their wavering reflections.

This design system captures that nocturnal water-offering: light is emitted entirely by the floating candles against deep night water — never from a bright page. Concentric ripples, banana-leaf folds, and marigold-and-lotus motifs carry the warmth of candle flame, not the glare of electric light.
