Submarine Control Room

The submarine control room "rigged for red" is one of the strangest interiors industrial design ever produced: a steel chamber bathed in deep emergency-red light to preserve the crew's night vision and stop any glow escaping the periscope. Hardware stays cold steel gray; red is purely the lighting, washing a near-black room into a single crimson key.

This design system distills that doctrine — round backlit dials, valve manifolds, brushed-steel panels glowing under flat red light — into a dim, analog, instrument-grade interface.

冷战时期潜艇"转入红光"（rigged for red）的指挥舱，是工业设计史上最奇特的室内空间之一：钢制舱体浸在深红色应急灯光里，只为保护艇员的暗视力，并防止任何光线从潜望镜泄漏出去。硬件本身始终是冰冷的钢灰色——红色纯粹是灯光，把一间近乎全黑的舱室染成单一的绯红基调。

本设计系统提炼了这套"红光"理念：圆形背光仪表、阀门管汇、在平直红光下泛着冷光的拉丝钢面板，构建出昏暗、模拟、仪表级精度的界面。所有红色都是光，而非油漆；钢灰才是材料的本色。
