String Quartet Score

ProMax

A string quartet score is a hand-copied Classical-era manuscript leaf — four staves drawn in iron-gall ink on rag or parchment paper, the ink browned and the page darkened across more than two centuries. This is penmanship, not print: black-brown staff lines and note-heads oxidizing over an aged-parchment field.

The design system distills that authentic darkened reading — not fresh cream paper but the deeper, browner tone of a 200-year-old leaf — into a digital surface of hand-penned irregularity, foxing stains, and occasional rubricated red.
