Sri Lankan Batik

ProMax

Sri Lankan batik is wax-resist cloth at its most tactile: layered natural-dye fields, hot-wax resist lines, and the spidery crackle that only wax produces. Elephants, peacocks and lotus blooms repeat in banded, symmetric panels over a deep indigo ground, saffron and maroon glowing against the dye.

This system carries that cloth — not a clean vector — to screen: indigo grounds, crackle-veined fields, undyed-cotton highlights, and resist-line edging that frames every block like a fabric border.
