About VDNKh Exhibition Pavilions
VDNKh — the 1954 Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy in Moscow — was the Soviet Union's gilded showcase: sixteen republic pavilions, the Friendship and Stone Flower fountains, and harvest mosaics clad in glass smalt and gold-leaf tesserae over red granite. Wheat-and-star reliefs and ultramarine-and-gold friezes turned propaganda into opulent ornament.
This design system distills that maximalist Stalinist Empire vocabulary into digital form — a deep ultramarine smalt ground, luminous metallic gold ornament, republic-blue and red-granite accents, and ornamental serifed type that honors the gilded, tessellated grandeur of the originals.
