Mata Ni Pachedi Temple Cloth

Mata-ni-Pachedi is the block-printed and hand-painted mother-goddess shrine cloth of the Vaghari community of Gujarat. It is a strictly three-color textile: madder-brick red figures, iron-black outlines, and the de-starched cotton itself — soaked in harda (myrobalan) to a warm tan — serving as the "white."

This design system distills that ritual textile into digital form: a harda-tinted tan ground, bold block-printed red figures, iron-black outlines, dense narrative registers framing a central enthroned goddess, and matte hand-printed texture. No blue, no green, no gold — only red, black, and the natural cloth.

「玛塔尼帕切迪」（Mata-ni-Pachedi）是印度古吉拉特邦瓦加里（Vaghari）社群的母神神龛布，以木刻版印与手绘结合制成。它严格只有三色：茜草砖红绘制的女神像、铁黑勾勒的轮廓，以及经诃子（harda）浸染、退浆后呈暖褐色的天然棉布本身——棉布即是这套调色板的「白」。

本设计系统将这一仪式纺织传统转化为数字语言：以诃子染就的暖褐底色为纸面，红色女神图形以粗犷木刻轮廓呈现，铁黑勾边，密集的叙事栏带环绕中央端坐的女神，整体保持手工版印的哑光质感。无蓝、无绿、无金——只有红、黑与天然棉布三色。
