The chahar-bagh — "four gardens" — is the Persian plan of paradise: two cross-axis water channels dividing four planted quadrants, an earthly image of Eden. In Safavid Isfahan it endures as haft-rang tilework and knotted garden-carpets: turquoise water lines crossing deep-viridian parterres, every edge drawn in gold. This system rebuilds that fourfold order in the browser — rigorously axial, jewel-toned, laid on a deep paradise-green field rather than any pale ground.
