Wartime Ration Coupon

Wartime Ration Coupon is drawn from the OPA War Ration Book Three of 1943 — a government document printed on cheap buff card under wartime material controls. It is deliberately austere: numbered grids of small perforated stamps, an eagle seal, and heavy condensed gothic lettering.

The signature is two-ink overprinting — a dominant red and a deep processed-food blue — pressed onto economy newsprint-grade stock. Nothing is decorative; every mark is bureaucratic, functional, and bound by scarcity.
