Zumthor Thermal Baths

Therme Vals (1996) is Peter Zumthor's half-buried thermal bath in the Swiss Alps, built from sixty thousand slabs of greenish-grey Valser quartzite. Its documented sensory experience is rough wet stone, dark water, muffled sound, and shadow.

This system distills that phenomenology: a dark greenish-slate ground, stratified slab layers, controlled slots of dim light, and low-contrast stone-tone panels. No ornament, no gloss — material and atmosphere carry everything.

瓦尔斯温泉浴场（1996）是彼得·卒姆托半埋于瑞士阿尔卑斯山坡的疗愈浴场，由六万块青灰色瓦尔斯石英岩层叠砌成。它被记录下来的感官体验是粗糙的湿石、幽暗的水面、被吸纳的回声与阴影。

本设计系统提炼了这种现象学：深青灰板岩为底色，石板分层堆叠，受控的微光从缝隙中渗入，低反差的石色面板。没有装饰，没有光泽——一切由材料与氛围承载。卒姆托的现象学栖居于半明半暗之中，界面也应如此沉静、厚重而潮湿。
