Deccan Basalt Temple

ProMax

Deccan Basalt Temple distills the near-black volcanic trap rock of Hoysala and Ellora temples into a digital design system. Dense, fine-grained dark stone is carved into deep, dramatic relief — shadow recesses fall to near-black while polished facets and chiseled edges catch light as cooler grays.

The result is monumental and neutral-cool: a stone surface dense with carved ornament, where every plane reads through the interplay of deep shadow and lit relief rather than flat fill or color.
