About Persona 5

Persona 5 is Atlus's 2016 RPG about Tokyo students who moonlight as the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, and its interface is the most quoted game UI of its decade. Black ground, a single blood red, white cut-outs — nothing else.

Every menu word tilts, every panel has a sawtooth edge, every title is assembled letter by letter from clipped typefaces like a ransom note. This system turns that attitude into tokens: flat print fills, hard offset shadows, zero radius and transitions that slash in on the diagonal.
