Nordic Black Metal

Nordic Black Metal is the visual language of the early-1990s Norwegian underground: grainy black-and-white photographs of frostbitten forest, photocopied to degradation, white burning out of near-pure black. Spiky, illegible logos tangle across the page like bare branches. Corpse-paint contrast — harsh white against absolute dark — is the only register. This is uncompromising tape-trading record art, not a polished metal brand.
