Regulator Clock

The precision regulator is the clock other clocks were set by: a weight-driven longcase in dark French-polished mahogany, fronted by an aged-ivory enamel dial, crisp black Roman numerals, and a swinging brass-bobbed pendulum. Built as an observatory time standard, it is sober, exact, and richly material.

This system carries that authority into the page. The deep red-brown case wood is the ground, brass is the ornament, and ivory enamel is reserved for the dial — the one bright reading surface. Layout is vertical, symmetrical, and classical: every element earns its place the way every wheel in the movement does.
