Parisian Zazou (1942)

The Zazous were young Parisians who answered Nazi occupation with swing jazz and zoot suits. Gathering at Café Pam Pam and Latin Quarter haunts, they turned banned American music and flamboyant dress into quiet defiance — oversized jackets, watch chains, slicked quiffs, and enormous lipstick mouths that Vichy propagandists denounced as moral decay.

This system channels their world: ink-black café interiors after curfew, Hot Club de France record-sleeve red, cigarette-stained menu card typography, and the hand-painted poster lettering of contraband jazz concerts. Every element says "if they ban swing, we dance harder."

扎祖（Zazou）是二战纳粹占领时期巴黎的地下青年群体。他们身穿阔肩西装、佩戴怀表链、梳高油头，在 Pam Pam 咖啡馆和拉丁区小店里偷听被禁的美国摇摆爵士乐——用穿着和音乐向维希政权的灰暗秩序无声抗议。

这套设计语言还原了那个年代的视觉质感：宵禁后墨黑色咖啡馆内景、Django Reinhardt「热爵士俱乐部」唱片封套的暗红、烟渍浸黄的菜单纸排版，以及地下音乐会手绘海报的粗犷笔触。每一个元素都在说——"他们禁了摇摆乐，我们就跳得更猛。"
