İznik Carnation Panel draws on the fritware wall tiles fired at İznik around 1580, when the court designer Kara Memi set coral carnations and swirling saz leaves across a luminous tin-white glaze. The palette is the mature İznik four: sealing-wax bole red, Kashan cobalt, emerald and copper turquoise, every color pinned by crisp black outlines. The system keeps that glaze-white ground bright and only faintly warm — never cream, never lazy pure white — so the raised coral red still catches the light.
