Order of Chivalry Star

The breast star of a high chivalric order is a faceted silver-gilt jewel: eight argent rays radiating from a central enamel cross, pinned to a broad moiré silk riband worn across the body. This is the visual grammar of pre-1900 Western European aristocratic honour — heraldic tinctures rendered in precious metal against deep Garter blue.

Everything here is dimensional and ceremonial: carved Roman capitals, gold scroll borders, a circular motto garter, watered-silk texture on an azure ground. Nothing is flat, nothing is desaturated. The eye is meant to read rank, lineage, and consecration at a single glance, the way a herald reads a coat of arms.
