Moroccan Riad

ProMax

The Moroccan riad is the inward-facing courtyard house of Fez and Marrakech: a cool, water-centered sanctuary turned away from the street, its walls clad in hand-cut zellige mosaic, carved cedar, and red-earth tadelakt. This system draws its palette from those walls — Majorelle blue against a deep zellige teal-green ground, warmed by Marrakech ochre and lit by carved-plaster cream.

The visual language is geometric and ornate: star-polygon tile tessellation, horseshoe arches, and the strict bilateral symmetry of the courtyard. Marcellus carries the Latin headings while Noto Naskh Arabic and Amiri voice the Maghrebi heritage register. Ornament is structural, never decorative filler.
