Rai stones are the monumental limestone-disc currency of Yap — some up to four metres across, quarried on Palau and canoed 450 kilometres of open Pacific. Each stone carries a name, a history, and an owner determined by oral consensus alone; the disc never moves. This design system channels that radical stillness: a single circular void dominates the composition, pale limestone type floats on the deep shadow of the stone's central hole, and every surface carries the quiet weight of weathered coral rock.
