Lao Luang Pho (Bun Bang Fai Rocket)

ProMax

Bun Bang Fai is the most explosive Buddhist-animist festival in the Mekong basin. Villagers in Laos and northeastern Thailand spend months building nine-meter bamboo rockets decorated with crepe-paper naga serpents and golden filigree, then parade them on ox-carts through mock-bawdy procession before firing them skyward to summon the rains.

This design system captures the festival's visual thunder — cobalt launch-sky as dominant ground, hot orange crepe rosettes, magenta naga banners, gold ornament, and cream temple surfaces. Typography mixes hand-lettered festival-banner warmth with classical Lao serif dignity. Everything reaches upward.
