Kustom Kulture pinstriping is the post-war garage art form that Von Dutch laid by hand in 22–23k gold leaf — flying lines, flame jobs, flying eyeballs and monster skulls struck straight onto glossy black nitrocellulose lacquer, never paper. Hairline gold strokes ride a deep mirror-black ground while flames run hot red through orange to yellow.
It is lowbrow sign-painter craft pushed to baroque excess: asymmetric, ornate, wet with lacquer sheen. This system keeps that voltage — gold on near-black, full-saturation flame gradients, heavy woodtype headlines and brush-script scrollwork.
