PNG Bilum (Looped String Bag)

The bilum is Papua New Guinea's universal looped-string bag — a textile system where clan identity is encoded in stripe colour combinations. Vermilion next to cobalt next to sunflower yellow: each band declares a highland valley of origin.

This design system channels the Goroka market stall: dense, saturated colour blocks vibrating against near-black ground, sharp stripe boundaries with no gradient blending, and the rhythmic irregularity of hand-looped mesh translated into digital layout.

比伦（Bilum）是巴布亚新几内亚的环编绳袋——全世界最多样的手工编织纺织体系。每个氏族用独特的条纹配色宣告身份：朱红配钴蓝属于这个山谷，黑粉配翠绿属于另一个高地。

本设计系统取材戈罗卡集市的视觉冲击：高饱和色块在近黑底色上密集排列，条纹边界锐利无渐变，手工环编的不规则节奏转化为数字界面的排版韵律。色彩即部落，每一条带都是高地的投票。
