About Kolkata Adda Letterpress
Kolkata Adda Letterpress distills the mid-century little-magazine culture of College Street — the cramped, ink-soaked press district where anonymous compositors set heavy Bengali metal type and cover artists cut woodcuts by hand. Everything printed black on cheap toned newsprint, with at most a single oxblood spot.
This system carries that austerity to screen: dense ink, hand-cut imagery, heavy rules, and the foxed grey-tan ground of aged pulp — never cream, never white.
