About Paracas Andean Textile关于 Paracas Andean Textile
Paracas Andean Textile is a design system distilled from the embroidered burial mantles of pre-Columbian Peru — 2000-year-old alpaca wool dyed in cochineal red, indigo blue, weld yellow, and shellfish purple, preserved bright as new in the dry south-coast desert. Saturated jewel tones sit on deep cobalt ground in strict rotational symmetry.
The discipline is monumental: a single mantle holds 50 to 100 identical flying-shaman or jaguar figures, each rotated 90° from its neighbor, repeating across four meters of cloth. The aesthetic is ancestral, archaeological, and quietly sacred.
