Harris Tweed (Herringbone)

Harris Tweed is the only cloth in the world protected by its own Act of Parliament — handwoven by islanders in their homes across the Outer Hebrides from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Hebrides. Its colours are drawn from the peat-brown moor, bracken, heather, and the rust of crottle lichen scraped from wet rock.

This design system distills that heritage into digital form: a dark peat-brown ground, muted plant-dye earth tones, flecked wool speckle, herringbone twill texture, and refined serif display that honours the Orb-certified provenance of the cloth.

哈里斯花呢是世界上唯一受本国议会法案保护的布料——由外赫布里底群岛的岛民在自家手工织造，原料为在赫布里底群岛染色与纺纱的纯新羊毛。它的色彩取自泥炭褐色的荒原、蕨类、石南花，以及从湿岩上刮下的染料地衣（crottle）所呈现的铁锈色。

本设计系统将这份手工织造的传统转化为数字语言：深泥炭褐底色、低饱和的植物染大地色、点染的羊毛斑点、人字斜纹（herringbone）肌理，以及致敬奥布认证（Orb）出身的精致衬线体——还原苏格兰荒野的质朴与温度，而非奶白色的羊毛。
