Greek Backgammon Tavli Board

The Greek tavli board is the inlaid walnut backgammon set at the heart of café life — oiled dark wood framing a marquetry play-field of alternating ivory and ebony points, brass-cornered and worn smooth by play. It belongs to the kafeneio, beside ouzo, Greek coffee, and clicking komboloi worry-beads.

This system translates that warm, tactile craft into the screen: grained walnut grounds, triangular point geometry, brass fittings, and ivory inlay accents. Never paper, never cream — always oiled timber and aged metal.
