Goryeo Celadon

ProMax

Goryeo inlaid celadon is the still point of East Asian ceramics: a translucent jade-green glaze laid over a body incised with cloud-and-crane motifs, the incisions packed with white and black slip. The colour the Goryeo court prized was bisaek — a soft, slightly grey-green "kingfisher" tone, never a loud teal. This system treats that glaze as the page itself, with all ornament reduced to hairline inlaid contour and wide, breathing negative space.
