El Al Israel Airlines (1959)

ProMax

El Al's 1949–1990 identity is the visual language of the jet age in national colors. Travel posters and luggage labels printed deep "Absolute Blue" skies with white airliners and the winged Magen David tail mark — designed by Franz Krausz in 1949 — promising trans-oceanic flight on Constellations and 707s.

This system distills that optimism: a saturated azure ground, confident white aircraft and horizon bands, a geometric Hebrew-and-Latin sans pairing, and disciplined poster-flat negative space that never drowns the national blue in white.
