About diptyque
A white paper oval pasted onto clear glass, a hairline black keyline, and inside it a name drawn by hand — capitals that ride up and down off the baseline, words that turn into the cypress or the gardenia they describe. That is the whole system.
Built on the house's own stated code of black against white, solids and voids, this theme keeps colour off the page entirely. Wide centred margins, plain rectangles, single-weight line drawings, and one ellipse doing all the framing work.
