Cereal Magazine Minimal

ProMax

Cereal is a Bath-based travel-and-style magazine founded in 2012 by Rosa Park and Rich Stapleton. Its signature is space: vast margins, cool desaturated landscape photography, and a quiet pairing of a humanist sans with a Garamond serif. Nothing shouts — restraint and negative space carry the composition. This system reads Cereal's page as interface. The ground is a cool soft paper-gray — the quiet "high-end white" of matte magazine stock, never a warm cream — on which muted mid-gray type and calm image blocks rest with generous air. Grid restraint, small refined captions and a desaturated cool palette define every surface.
