Dance Dance Revolution Arrows

ProMax

Dance Dance Revolution is Konami's 1998 rhythm game that turned the arcade into a dance floor. Neon arrows — magenta, cyan, and acid green — scroll up a pure-black CRT screen toward a step target, while a lit floor light-grid pulses under the player's feet.

This design system distills that Y2K East-Asian arcade aesthetic: saturated neon glow on black, blocky bitmap score type, scanline shimmer, and the relentless upward motion of arrow lanes. Everything is loud, electric, and unapologetically pixel-perfect.
