Burmese yun lacquerware from Bagan is an incising tradition: bamboo-cored vessels engraved by the kanyit yun technique, with cinnabar red, orpiment yellow and viridian green rubbed into fine lines cut through a mirror-black thitsi-lacquer ground. The surface is always dark and glossy, never cream — jewel-toned fields outlined and separated by black.
This design system translates that fine-line, banded-register craft into screen: a glossy black lacquer page, dense incised line-work, concentric figural and floral bands, and saturated mineral fills that glow against the dark.
