Bird of Paradise Monograph

ProMax

John Gould's *Birds of New Guinea* — his last great work, completed posthumously after his death in 1881 — renders the Raggiana bird-of-paradise in full theatrical display: a yellow cowl, iridescent emerald throat, and crimson-to-orange filamentous flank plumes flaring against a dense, dark rainforest.

This system distills that deluxe Victorian monograph into a digital language — a deep forest-black ground, saturated flame yellow-orange plumage, hand-coloured lithographic texture, and high-contrast old-style serifs in the voice of a collector's plate book.
