Baťa Zlín Functionalist Brand

ProMax

In 1930s Czechoslovakia, the Baťa shoe empire raised the company town of Zlín as a manifesto in functionalist architecture: un-plastered red-brick infill set into an exposed reinforced-concrete skeleton, flat roofs, steel-framed windows, and a strict standardized grid. The brand reads as red brick and red logo, white concrete bands, and clean black Czech constructivist signage.

This design system translates that industrial functionalism into the interface: a deep exposed-brick ground, the iconic Baťa brand red, white concrete spandrels, and condensed constructivist type marching across a rigid 6.15m modular bay. No ornament, no curves — only the rational machine.
