Basque Pelota Fronton Red & Green

ProMax

The Basque pelota design system draws from the stark materiality of the fronton — the open-air concrete court where cesta punta has been played for over a century. Vermilion red and eusko green sit against glacial white wall surfaces, echoing the ikurriña tricolor and the saturated paint of professional jai alai posters from Miami to Biarritz.

This is a fiercely regional visual language: Basque before anything else. The typography references 19th-century Basque signage, the geometry follows the fronton's horizontal datum and court-line markings, and Euskara is always present alongside Spanish or French — never subordinate.
