Banarasi Brocade Saree

The Banarasi saree is the heavy brocade weave of Varanasi, where a deep crimson Katan-silk field is densely overlaid with antique-gold kinkhab zari in Mughal-derived jangla floral scrolls and scattered butidar sprays. The kadhwa technique builds a raised metallic weave that catches light like worked metal.

This design system distills that bridal maximalism into the screen — a saturated crimson ground, raised gold-thread ornament, jhallar fringe borders, and ornate court display type. The palette is jewel-toned and all-over: crimson, emerald, and royal blue grounds, every one overlaid in antique gold.

班纳拉西纱丽是瓦拉纳西（贝拿勒斯）的重锦缎织造——以深绯红卡坦真丝为底，密密覆以古金色金线（zari），织出莫卧儿风格的藤蔓花卉（jangla）与散布的小花纹样（butidar）。卡德瓦（kadhwa）织法让金线凸起，如錾刻金属般在光下闪烁，是印度新娘的常青吉服。

本设计系统将这一极繁的新娘织锦传统化为界面语言——饱和的绯红底色、凸起的金线纹样、流苏（jhallar）边框，以及华美的莫卧儿宫廷感衬线字体。配色是宝石色调且铺满整幅：绯红、翡翠绿、宝蓝皆为底色，无一不以古金覆盖，绝不留白。
